Amy Liu knew how to craft a successful sales pitch long before she launched the eczema-friendly beauty brand Tower 28 in 2019. The entrepreneur, whose brand has been profitable since its first year in business, started her career with a number of sales-oriented jobs in high school and college. She worked the register at the stationery store Papyrus, clocked in at a call center, and did field canvassing for the payroll services company ADP. The lessons she took from these early roles, she says, shaped her approach to entrepreneurship.
“I think every job is sales,” she says. “You’re always going to be telling your own story, your brand story, your product story.”
