The Housing Market Just Hit a 7-Month Streak on This Key Metric—and It’s Great News for Buyers

As the housing market enters the summer season, there’s reason for homebuyers to be excited: Listing prices are down 2.4 percent year-over-year for a seventh straight month. 

Home prices in May experienced their steepest annual drop in at least nine years, according to data from Realtor.com. This could signal a new boost in sales overall, as homebuyers enter the market during the late spring buyer rush.
