Finally, Some Good News for New Grads: Employers Plan a Hiring Rebound for the Class of 2026 as AI Strategies Shift

With an increasing number of companies having reduced or eliminated entry-level jobs by automating their tasks using artificial intelligence tools, the employment outlook for recent college graduates has been remarkably grim since mid-2024. But now, new survey data may offer the Class of 2026 a little more hope, with findings that many businesses are planning to create significantly more first-hire roles this year than in 2025.
