This Founder Called VCs ‘Grifters’—Then Took $110 Million From Them and Built a Unicorn
Fabrication startup SendCutSend recently raised venture captial from Sequoia, Paradigm, and the co-founders of Stripe.

Jim Belosic was all about bootstrapping when it came to his fabrication startup, SendCutSend. Not only did the founder dislike the idea of taking money from venture capitalists, he reportedly used to think of them as a bunch of “grifters.”
He’s since had a change of heart. The Wall Street Journal reported yesterday that Belosic recently took on a $110 million investment co-led by the VC firms Sequoia and Paradigm, as well as Stripe co-founders Patrick and John Collison.
Time will tell whether........
