To say Costco’s $4.99 rotisserie chicken is popular is an understatement—the retailer reportedly sells hundreds of millions every year. But a recently filed class-action lawsuit alleges that it uses deceptive marketing tactics to do so.

Plaintiffs Bianca Johnston and Anatasia Chernov assert that Costco “has systemically cheated customers out of tens—if not hundreds—of millions of dollars by falsely advertising” its rotisserie chicken “as containing ‘no preservatives.’”
