Donald Trump Admits To 'Terrible Mistake' And Critics Predict What's Next
President Donald Trump
Critics of Donald Trump suggested the president’s latest remarks reveal what’s next in line for renaming in his honour, and also demonstrate his desperation to slap his name on anything and everything he can while in office.
During Thursday’s signing of a peace agreement between Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo — held at the US Institute of Peace, which the State Department rebranded for Trump this week ― the president made what he joked was a “terrible mistake” while promoting the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup draw at The John F Kennedy Memorial Center for the Performing Arts.
“You have a big event on Friday at the Trump–Kennedy Center,” said Trump.
Then he corrected himself, “Oh, excuse me, at the Kennedy Center.”
Trump laughed and then said, with mock contrition: “Pardon me, such a terrible mistake.”
