Reform MP Slammed For Trying To Defend Party Candidate Who Told David Lammy To 'Go Home' |
A Reform MP has been criticised after he defended one of his party’s candidates who told David Lammy to “go home to the Caribbean”.
Dr Chris Parry who is running to be mayor of Hampshire and the Solent, said that was where the justice secretary’s “loyalties lie”.
Despite his comments, which he made on X in February, Reform have not dumped him as their candidate.
At a press conference this morning, Danny Kruger said Parry was “a very distinguished public servant” and even suggested his remark may have been taken out of context.
