Grok will no longer be able to create sexualised images of real people without their knowledge, Elon Musk has announced.
The X owner said new online safety measures had been put in place in the wake of a furious row over the so-called “nudification” of women and children on the social media platform.
No.10 said the announcement was “a vindication for Keir Starmer”, who had threatened a crackdown on the site if it did not clean up its act.
Starmer branded Grok and X “disgusting and shameful” and vowed to change the law if necessary.
Broadcasting watchdog Ofcom also announced that it was launching its own investigation into the controversy.
