Jonathan Reynolds Confirms UK Was Not Involved In Trump's Strikes On Iran

The UK was not involved in Donald Trump’s overnight strikes on Iran – but it did know in advance, according to a cabinet minister.
The US struck three Iranian nuclear enrichment facilities over the weekend, despite previous pleas from the UK for de-escalation in the region.
It comes after Israel initiated a week of fire exchange with Iran, over fears that Tehran was developing nuclear warheads – a claim Iran has long denied.
Business and trade secretary Jonathan Reynolds told Sky News: “We are not and have not been involved in these attacks.
“We did know, I can’t tell you when, but we were informed by a key ally, as you might expect, of this action.”
There have been fears that the US would need to use its shared military base with the UK in the Chagos Islands to attack Iran – which could drag Britain into the war,........
