President Donald Trump bragged about the golden makeover he’s given the Oval Office during an interview with Fox News host Laura Ingraham that aired on Monday.

And the president’s critics called him out over it.

“You can’t imitate gold, real gold,” Trump boasted as he showed off the shiny new additions to the Oval Office. “There’s no paint that imitates gold.”

“So these aren’t like from Home Depot or something?” Ingraham asked.

“No, this is not Home Depot stuff,” Trump said. “This is not Home Depot.”

Ingraham was alluding to claims made online earlier this year, as the decor began to appear in the Oval Office, when a number of people noticed that at least some of the new embellishments were pretty much a perfect match for an item sold at Home Depot.
