Matthew McConaughey is reflecting on a difficult chapter in his life involving his mother, Kay.

The Oscar-winning actor told People magazine that he didn’t speak with his mum for nearly a decade, after she started sharing a bit too much with the press.

“We had about an eight-year period where I had to have short conversations with her on our Sunday phone calls because she was sharing a lot of that information,” the True Detective actor said in an article published last week.

“I’d tell her something on Sunday between son and mum, and Tuesday I’d read about it in the news or see it in the local paper. She couldn’t help herself,” he added.........
