I’m not usually fussy when it comes to my festive tipples: so long as it doesn’t make me wince or tear up, I’m more than likely on board.

But I have to confess that, even though I typically pride myself on not being too picky, Irish cream liqueur has always been a tough one for me. I’ve tried many kinds over the decades; all too often, they run a little sickly, a little cloying, and a little claggy for me.
