Is the SNP prepared for what happens if it wins next week? Short answer: No

You'd be hard pushed to claim this Scottish election has been anything other than predictable, even deathly dull at times.
There have been few surprises, aside from the usual pratfalls and nincompoopery from our cadre of low-info, high-vanity politicians.
All have promised way more than they can deliver, few seem to even understand the rudiments of policy, and none - depressingly - have the ideas required to lead us out of the mess we’re in.
All western nations are in trouble, but Scotland and the UK particularly have a political class seemingly incapable of levelling with the people and coming up with workable ideas to improve our lives.
It’s all culture war diversions, scapegoating and mad flights of fancy. They’re good at creating messes, it seems, but rubbish at cleaning them up.

However, electoral excitement is all but guaranteed once the votes are counted. That’s when matters will get spicy - especially if the SNP wins a majority.
Clearly, that’s an unknown, but even a Yes majority with the Greens will set fireworks flying.
It’s then we’ll likely see the formation of a nationalist ‘Celtic Wall’ opposed to Westminster rule.
