New flights joy for Scotland’s airports
Scotland's airports have enjoyed major new flights wins.

There was no shortage of miserable developments to cover on the economic and business scene in 2025.
The UK economy has not had its troubles to seek and the outlook appears difficult. Sadly, the Labour Government continues to refuse to pursue the big opportunity to lift the UK out of its economic malaise – rejoining the European single market.
We must remember the grim UK economic situation inherited by Labour after 14 years of rule by the Conservatives but the “red lines” of Sir Keir Starmer’s administration on Brexit remain lamentable.
Thankfully, there were also plenty of positives during what was a very challenging 2025.
There were many heartening business stories to cover, including tales of innovation, growth, strength, resilience, success in the face of adversity, and many other things.
