A chance to fix Scotland’s outdated FoI law |
Over the next nine months, there is an opportunity to fix Scotland’s outdated Freedom of Information (FoI) law and restore our place as a global lead on transparency and accountability.
At a time when other governments are threatening to abolish access to information laws and undermine independent enforcement of FoI rights and duties, passing progressive legislation would be a welcome boost to campaigners across the seven continents and strengthen democratic engagement and informed participation domestically.
