In the six months that have passed since Hamas burst through the Gaza border fence and massacred Israeli communities, we have all been trying to find meaning in October 7. It was a day that was supposed to have changed everything. For many Israelis and supporters of Israel, it was the day that finally proved beyond a shred of a doubt that coexistence between the Jordan and the Mediterranean was impossible, and that hatred of the Jews was ineradicable.
