Salvation Army looking for Christmas Kettle Campaign volunteers

4 0 0

The Salvation Army of Fort McMurray is currently seeking volunteer Kettle Attendants to help fill over 800 hours for the local 2018 Christmas Kettle Campaign.

Currently, 882 hours have been completed by 130 volunteers since the campaign’s November 17 launch. The total volunteer hours for the five-week campaign is 1,705.

“We still need to fill another 820 hours,” said Carol Christian of the Salvation Army. “Some of those volunteers will continue giving their time. However, we could use more to fulfil those hours.”

The Christmas Kettle Campaign runs until Dec. 24 with volunteers taking on two-hour shifts from Monday to Saturday throughout the city at seven locations.

They include Canadian Tire, Walmart, Peter Pond Mall, Real Canadian Superstore, Stoneycreek’s Save-On-Foods, Michelle’s Your Independent Grocer and Sobeys in........
