Helping for the Holidays

Fort McMurray is well known as a community that gives back, and it has the fundraising numbers to prove it.

From food and toy collections to cash donations, there are more opportunities to support Wood Buffalo at this time of the year, as numerous annual initiatives are running to help bring others a joyous celebration on Christmas Day.

The Salvation Army of Fort McMurray is more than halfway to completing their 2018 Kettle Campaign goal.

On Dec. 11, they announced $117,007 was received from local donations. They also stated Christina Gordon Public School came together to fulfill 300 Angel Tags, which match children with Christmas gifts. Collections for the Kettle Campaign will be accepted up until Dec. 22.

Kettle attendant shifts are still available for the 2018 kettle campaign starting........
