Nashville’s Fisk University recently launched a $1 billion revitalization plan for its campus, anchored by a $400 million Innovation Center with an academic space and a data center. President Agenia Walker Clark believes it could generate revenue for the 160-year-old university for generations.
The plan has been met with criticism from alumni and community members, but that doesn’t deter Clark. To support its next 160 years, she tells Forbes the school must look for revenue in places it hasn’t before.
