BIGGER PICTURE: As Above So Below

I was walking in downtown Geneva recently and noticed a new business had opened at 110 Castle St. It’s an unusual space in that it is very small in size. Several different businesses have occupied it in recent years. The size likely made the rent affordable and an opportunity for some to try to pursue that self-employment, small-business dream.

While they did not succeed, I think that is about to change.

What caught my eye was the eclectic, funky, and unique decor that Andrea Bea Mazzarella has chosen for the inside of her new and first business.

After working her whole life for others in a profession that is usually male-dominated and not always as hospitable to strong and independent women, she has started a new journey with As Above So Below. It is both a piercing shop and mystic parlor.

Andrea, 44, is a reflection of the creative energy that can be seen and felt in her store.
