This is going to be a basic list of how people can increase their positivity and happiness. I figure we’re in February, in an election year, and we can all use as much positivity and happiness as possible.
Practice gratitude: Take time each day to think about the things for which you’re grateful. Some people keep a gratitude journal that they fill out each night. This can help shift your focus toward the positive aspects of your life.
Another version of that is the “three good things” by father of positive psychology Martin Seligman. In this exercise you list three good things that happened to you during the day. There’s even an app for it.
Be kind to others: Helping others and doing random acts of kindness can boost your mood and make you feel better about yourself. Even small gestures can make a big difference in both your life and the lives of others. Something as simple as holding a door open for somebody can make you and them feel better.
Stay active: Regular exercise........
