As I write this, I’m sitting watching the New York Mets get clobbered by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League Championship Series. By the time you read this sometime on or after Thursday, it is possible the Mets season may be close to over (hopefully not), No matter what, it’s been a great year for the Mets. I look forward to next season.
On Monday, my three favorite teams — the Mets, New York Yankees and Buffalo Bills — all played. I certainly was hoping all three wouldn’t lose, but that’s the beauty of sports and fandom. There is always another game.
(Update: Since I didn’t turn in this story until Tuesday, I know the Mets, Yanks and Bills all won Monday. The Bills won ugly, but a win is a win.)
