Well, last week was an interesting one. My wife had a conference in Chicago and my son came home from Buffalo to watch the Wimbledon finals, which is our tradition. I love pickleball, but tennis, along with baseball, were my first sport crushes. Sunday we enjoyed the tennis, hit some ping-pong balls, and went to Smokin’ Pete’s for some wonderful barbecue.
All the while, my son was coughing and sneezing some, although not a lot.
On Monday, when we woke up, my son said, “Hey, Drew Fishback is playing in a tennis tournament in Rochester today. You wanna go?” I said, “Sure, but let’s test for covid first just to be safe.”
Sure enough, he tested positive for covid almost instantly. The next day I, too, tested positive.
