I want to talk about letting go and “letting God.”

We may think we are very smart and yet we sometimes have trouble letting go of hurts and bad memories. Or maybe sometimes we just want to be in control or be right. It is extremely important for our spiritual life that we learn to surrender. I know that is a very scary thought for our egos, and yet very healthy for us.

On men’s weekends we have the pilgrims write down something they need to forgive themselves for and something that need to forgive someone else for. We lay those burdens at the foot of the cross. God will take those things from us if we let Him. Many times my prayer is Sweet Jesus HELP!........
