In 2023, Terence Corcoran wrote a column characterizing that year’s interminably long RBC annual general meeting (AGM) as a “radical horror show” and “an activist-driven political storm.” I’ve been to enough AGMs over the years to attest that his experience was typical. In recent years, they have been, for the most part, hyper-ideological affairs demonizing Canada’s oil and gas industry.
