Trump Can Probably Kiss A Future Nobel Peace Prize Goodbye – OpEd

Although he covets the Nobel Peace Prize itself, President Donald Trump, in his second administration, has dialed up government aggression both at home and abroad.

He sent ICE and Border Patrol agents, poorly trained for the urban environment, into cities in which they have intervened, to use provocative and brutal tactics on protesters that have recently resulted in three shootings and two punitive killings against U.S. citizens in Minnesota. Also, Trump sent U.S. Special Forces to attack Venezuela and remove its leader, while cutting a deal to grab Venezuelan oil revenues from the remnants of the repressive socialist regime. The Trump administration, a rogue outlier even on the scale of recent imperial presidents, then threatened to attack Greenland to purloin it for the United States, but has seemed to back down, at least for the time being, in the face of Europe-wide governmental........
