As my friends, clients and readers already know, I always tend to look at the world, despite its many problems, threats and disappointments, though an optimistic lens. However, even for a terminally glass-half-full kind of guy like myself, it is getting harder and harder to see the bright side given the state of affairs over the last years. It appears we going from one manufactured crisis to the next, and at each turn, more of our liberties are being taken away, more of our thoughts and ideas are being censored and more of our common sense is being systematically dismantled and ridiculed by those who claim to govern in our name.
