AGAR: Scheer and Conservatives not threatening to undo same-sex marriage

People say political leaders represent all the people.

That is fair enough to say, but of course politicians must make decisions that represent, ultimately, only some of the people.

As a group of citizens we do not agree on most things.

When a decision is made to spend money on one thing and not another, people end up at best disappointed, but often angry and unrepresented; they feel left out and forgotten.

So when did the litmus test for inclusiveness come down to the single issue of marching in a Pride parade?

After Ralph Goodale, who voted twice against same-sex marriage, unearthed a 15-year-old video of Andrew Scheer speaking against same-sex marriage, people began to jump all over this issue.
