As an avid 630 CHED listener – especially Bruce’s noon to 3 p.m. show – I heard him mention on the radio that he was from Saskatchewan.

I wanted to know what part.

So there I was: two feet away from Bruce at the Crestwood Community Hall where he was spinning records at a dance.

I went up to him. Shook hands. And then, yelling over the music, asked him what part of Saskatchewan he was from.
