Villagers succeed in fight to repair 'dangerous' flooded footpath |
A well-used riverside route, which connects Geldeston to Beccles, had become impassable after erosion created significant holes in the bank.
These breaches allowed the River Waveney to flood the path, leaving walkers facing hazardous conditions and, at times, completely cutting off access.

Now villagers can again use the route to walk to Beccles after a successful campaign led by Richard Fogerty, a Geldeston parish Councillor, to seal the breaches.
