Former therapy assessment barn to be transformed into a holiday home

Graham and Veronica Downing have won permission to convert a former occupational therapy assessment centre into an accessible holiday let off Halesworth Road in Chediston.

A previous application submitted in 2024 was refused by East Suffolk Council after a report found the building would have a one in 100-year chance of experiencing 50 centimetres of flooding.

But now the pair have won permission to transform the traditional timber-framed therapy barn.
