Pensioner who groomed young girls exposed by paedophile hunters
Glenn Bazely, 66, began messaging an online profile in February 2025 and had continued the increasingly sexualised contact, despite being told the girl he was talking to was supposedly barely a teenager.

Norwich Crown Court heard he believed he was chatting to a 13-year-old, but it was in fact a decoy account set up by adults to catch and hunt down online child sex offenders.
In February and March he also exchanged messages with two further social media accounts that appeared to be young teenage girls.
He was confronted at his home by members of the group, with video footage of the encounter then posted online.

Bazely, of Drayton Road in Norwich, pleaded guilty to three counts of attempting to incite a child into engaging in sexual activity and two counts of attempted sexual communication with a child for the purpose of obtaining sexual gratification.
Judge Andrew Shaw sentenced him to two years and six months suspended for three years but placed him on the sex offender’s register indefinitely.
He was also made subject of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SKPO).
