AF Group chief executive Helen Whittle was appointed in April having taken on the role on an interim basis in 2020.

The agricultural buying group - based at Honingham Thorpe, near Norwich - is chaired by Iain Gardner, who said the decision to appoint her was unanimous and followed a rigorous four-stage selection process.

Ms Whittle stepped up from her previous role as AF's chief procurement officer, having joined the business in 2019.

She took over from David Horton-Hawkes - a former Holkham director -
