Dan Gooderham said he was "surprised" after scooping the top title at The Brewers Journal Awards.from a pool of brewing talent across the UK and Ireland.

His triumph follows a series of Adnams accolades over the summer including for Ghost Ship Alcohol Free and its Double Ghost IPA.

Dan, 38, grew up around a brewpub called the Green Dragon in Bungay which inspired him to study for a BSc in Brewing & Distilling at Herriot-Watt University in Edinburgh.........
