Man accused of sending text message threatening to drown woman

Joe Wright had been charged with sending a message threatening death or serious harm to the woman between September 30 and October 11 last year.

The 35-year-old from London Road, Willingham St Mary, Beccles, Suffolk will stand trial at Norwich Crown Court next year.

A trial, expected to last between two and three days, was put in the warned list for April 12 next year - meaning it could take place anytime within two weeks after that date.

The trial follows a not guilty plea entered by Wright when he appeared in court on Wednesday (April 15).

He has been granted bail.
