David Smith raided a string of addresses across Norwich after lapsing back into drug misuse.
The 45-year-old - who has 51 previous convictions for 123 offences - committed the burglaries and shop thefts in September and October.
Norwich Crown Court heard the spree involved targeting one store, the One Stop Shop on Constitution Hill, twice in just 24 hours.

Chris Youell, prosecuting, said the "method of entry" used by Smith was "not exactly subtle".
