Poultry to be culled after bird flu outbreak

The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) said the highly pathogenic avian influenza H5N1 was confirmed in commercial poultry at a premises near Lakenheath on Sunday.

A three-km protection zone and 10km surveillance zone have been declared around the premises.

Defra also said all of the birds on the site will be culled.
