Engineers have discovered the Victorian landmark requires essential work following years of being battered by the North Sea.

A recent survey showed some of the deck beams, trusses, bracing and columns require fixing to ensure the pier remains safe.
North Norfolk District Council (NNDC) estimates it will cost at least £250,000 to repair the "high priority" issues but more money could be needed for less urgent works in the future.
