Man loses appeal to build house on site of former care home

Chris Almond of Almond Arch Properties had hoped to build a single-storey property on Norwich Road in Fakenham.

The site was previously occupied by Creswick House care home, which closed down in October 2021 after the care watchdog deemed it unsafe.

An outline application was put forward to North Norfolk District Council in April 2024, but the plans were refused due to the intensification of traffic and impact on highway safety.
