Why it is now easier to get to top attractions in Suffolk

Visitors arriving at Lowestoft Railway Station will have better bus connections to Great Yarmouth, Gorleston and Southwold and tourist attractions - including Pleasurewood Hills and Africa Alive! - as First Bus begins running its 99 service and X1 services via the station's bus interchange.

From next Tuesday, May 26, enhanced bus connections will make it easier than ever for people travelling on the East Suffolk and Wherry Lines (Ipswich to Lowestoft and Norwich to Lowestoft) to continue their journeys by bus directly from Lowestoft rail station.

The improvements form part of a wider collaborative effort between rail, bus and local authority partners to promote sustainable, convenient and affordable travel across the region.
