Town centre bank in building dating back to 1860s set for closure

NatWest's Lowestoft branch, in London Road North, is shutting its doors on October 15 as the branch "transitions from UK banking services onto digital platforms".

Ahead of the closure, the bank - which is situated in a Grade II listed building in the town centre - had lodged plans to remove various equipment.

Natwest Bank Plc submitted plans to East Suffolk Council in July to remove the ATM's and night safe bezel at the building situated at 53 London Road North.
