Moving memorial service set to return to town's rail station

A ceremony commemorating Holocaust Memorial Day will once again be held in Lowestoft.

Near the spot where hundreds of young Jewish refugees had arrived in 1938, a service of remembrance commemorating Holocaust Memorial Day will be held on Monday, January 27 at Lowestoft rail station.

It will form part of a series of events, organised by Lowestoft Town Council, as significant anniversaries are marked in 2025 with the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau and the 30th anniversary of the genocide in Bosnia being remembered.
