Touching tributes have been paid to a "gifted mathematician", former teacher and tutor.

Highly respected and described as a Lowestoft legend, poignant memories have been shared in honouring Chris Turner after he died peacefully on Saturday evening.

Mr Turner, hailed as a "friend to so many," was well known in the Lowestoft area and was praised for the impact he has had in helping so many locally.

A "fantastic" former teacher at Denes High School in Lowestoft - now Ormiston Denes Academy - and long serving maths tutor, he was a popular member and "part of the family" of locals at the Jolly Sailors pub in........
