A total of 11 timber-built chalets - a mixture of permanent homes, holiday lets and derelict properties - threatened by erosion at The Marrams in Hemsby have been assessed by a council as being at imminent risk of collapse.

The situation on the Hemsby road - which has already lost more than 20 homes to the sea in the last 15 years - has intensified with rapid rates of erosion over the past year, combined with recent damage caused by Storm Benjamin.........
