The former plant operator, who said he has now been living with complications for more than three years, described how the surgery he believed would quickly restore his health instead triggered a devastating chain of events.

“I have been suffering chronic mesh complications for over three years now after having two failed surgeries because of mesh,” he said.
“The last surgery was two years ago - an abdominal wall reconstruction to try and put right the mess and infection the first surgery caused.”
He said the reconstruction procedure also failed due to further mesh-related complications and infection.
