BBC Radio Norfolk off air following city headquarters flood

Those tuning in to the show this morning will be greeted by Wayne Bavin, of BBC Radio Suffolk.

Mr Bavin, who presents the Suffolk breakfast show, reported that BBC Radio Norfolk is off air due to a flood at the Forum in Norwich.

"There's been a bit of argy-bargy, a bit of a to-do, at the building for BBC Norfolk," he added.

"They've had a flood, it's not an April Fool's.

"You've got me if you're listening to me for the next hour or so."

The Forum, based in the city centre, is the home of BBC Look East and BBC Radio Norfolk.

Mr Bavin further added that the Norfolk team is making its way down to the Suffolk studios as Graham Barnard is due to sit in for Chris Goreham today.

He further assured listeners that it wasn't an April Fool's joke and that he would be covering the show until the issue was resolved.

The BBC Radio Norfolk team are expected to arrive at the Suffolk studio at around 7.30am.

It is not clear how bad the flood is and what else has been affected at the Forum.
