Spanish catering company holding pop-up at well-loved pub

Patrón, based in Norwich, is hosting a weekend event at The Leopard pub in Silver Road.

Spanish natives Enrique Riverola and business partner Jarold Moreno launched the company four years ago and it has been growing ever since.

The pair started off serving up traditional paella at pop-ups around Norfolk and have expanded to serve their food at private events and weddings.

"We want to give people old school Spanish food that is high quality, while not being too fancy, " Mr Riverola said.

"Since we started, people's feedback has been amazing.

"The secret is not thinking about making a fortune but enjoying the process.

"I think of it more as a hobby than as a job."

The pop-up will be held on Friday and Saturday, from 5pm until 9pm, and then on Sunday between midday and 6pm.

Utilising the pub's kitchen, the pair will be serving up a "refined" menu including tapas and three different kinds of paella.

"We are trying to keep it simple while giving healthy options reflecting the food we have back home in Spain," Mr Riverola added.

Last week, The Leopard was named by The Norwich and District Campaign For Real Ale (CAMRA) as 2026 Norwich City Pub of the Year, as well as the overall Branch Pub of the Year.

"The Leopard is a beer oasis in a proper pub with a love for beer, good food and snacks," a spokesman for CAMRA said.

Justin and Emma McKee, landlords of the Leopard, added: "It has taken a lot of hard work to get us to where we are today, and to have that recognized is amazing."
