Pippa hoping for third time lucky after two previous adoptions

Pippa, who is aged around five, is a whippet-type crossbreed currently being fostered in the city.

She was originally brought to the UK from Romania as a puppy by a private adopter who put her in the care of Safe Rescue for Dogs.

In 2020, she was adopted, but due to a recent relationship breakdown, she is back in foster care and looking for a fresh start.

Pippa is lively, with classic whippet traits both in looks and temperament so she can be a bit anxious at first.

A spokesman for Safe Rescue for Dogs said: "She is a bit of a worrier and tense around new people but very loving to her family."

Although friendly with visiting children, rescuers say that Pippa would be happiest in an adult-only home where she can relax.

She enjoys the company of other dogs, though ideally those her own size or large and loves nothing more than getting out for her daily walks.
