Eleven people arrested during immigration crime crackdown in Norfolk

They joined forces with Immigration Enforcement and tackled crimes exploiting vulnerable migrants, often linked to drug trafficking, modern slavery and human trafficking.

Operation Silent took place between November 24 and 28 and involved officers in Norwich, Thetford and King's Lynn intercepting vehicles used for commercial purposes.

In total, 70 immigration checks were conducted and eight people were arrested for immigration offences, including illegal entry to the UK, illegal working and immigration overstay.
