Influencer wins row after £30,000 Pilates studio upsets neighbours

Megan Smith, 24, spent three years training in wellness centres in Dubai before returning to Norfolk to build her dream studio at her grandparents’ £825,000 home in North Wootton, near King's Lynn.

The studio, which opened in November, hosts up to six classes a week, between 6am-7pm on weekdays and 9am to 12pm on weekends.

The site has quickly gathered popularity thanks to its impressive facilities, which include an onsite café, ice bath, sauna and Pilates reformer machine.

However the centre’s success has caused a stir among its neighbours, who have complained about noise, parking, and opening hours.

The gym, named Luco Wellness, did not secure planning permission before opening, leading to a retrospective application which has given many neighbours a platform to table their frustrations.

More than 20 locals lodged objections to the studio prior to a West Norfolk planning meeting on Monday morning.
